I am an RN and on the concrete floor for 12.5 hour shifts. I have congenitally flat feet. As I have aged I have badly sprained both ankles due to over pronation. Since then I have to have Skechers tennis shoes to maintain foot and ankle health. I have suffered with Plantar's Fascitis, Peroneal Tendonitis and now Posterior Tibial Tendon Dysfunction. It just so happens that these conditions come on or get worse when I do not use Skechers. I have to wear Skechers shoes, ankle braces, maybe additional orthotic inserts, rest, ice, and elevate my ankle and it eventually goes away. Most of the time (90%)it does not go that far. I cue in on the symptoms coming on and I do not let it get that far. I read up on these conditions and just wear my shoes and brace and it goes away. So far I have avoided going to a podiatrist. When I buy the shoes in the store I always have to wear them out. They feel fantastic. I especially love the mules. To me there is no other tennis shoe or shoe for that matter!!!!

I bought these shoes as the ratings were so high from people who had feet problems. I have no diagnosed problems, but feet were sore from working long hours as a Nurse. These shoes do not have a shaped footbed, it is flat. This leads me to believe I must investigate insoles to give me what I am looking for for support. I am considering returning my second pair, am concerned I won't like the feel of them.

For last 30 years I have only worn Skechers. Was hit head on by a drunk driver and it shattered my heel. Doctor first said I may never walk on it but 8 surgeries later I did. He said if you find a shoe that is comfortable buy a dozen pair. I tried all the others, Niki, New Balance, etc. Nothing is better than Skechers for me!!

        Comments about D'lites:

I bought these on an emergency basis for a job I had in ... 2009 to 2010. My legs/feet were constantly aching, throbbing & swelling from standing & almost running on cold, hard cement 8 hrs a day, 5 days a week. At that time I could wear a shoe-size range from ... 4 1/2 to 6 ... depending upon the brand/style (heels, flats, boots, etc). The store only had these Skechers in a size 7, :-( so, had no choice but to buy that size. I couldnt wait - was in too much pain! I bought a size 7, med width, & wore them with a pair of socks ... PERFECT FIT! No more throbbing, aching or swelling! I no longer have that job (Thank God! Ugh!) But ... I still have & WEAR those Skechers! :-O It's definitely time for new ones b/c last year they FINALLY began to show their age & wear & tear & wont clean up anymore. On line shopping being what it is 9 yrs later ... I can now buy a size 6. I know they will fit just right. Me: happy camper. Ive also seen a zillion other styles I want. Yeah, I LIKE shoes.

            Q:

In the past I ordered a pair of sneakers in my normal size 7.5. When I received them they were too small. I reordered them a size larger 8.5 and they fit fine. My question is: I see others say order in your regular size???

              A:

Naturally you should order in the size that fits you best in similar shoes. For most customers, these fit true to size based on their reviews and comments.

              A:

The D'Lites shoes are not waterproof as they come, but they do have a solid leather upper, so they could be given a treatment with a product such as the Skechers Water Proofer spray to make them water resistant.

It currently does not look like this older version of the D'Lites is coming into stock in the wide width, those appear to be discontinued. The Centennial model still comes in a wide fit.

While some stores do stock wide widths in certain shoes, they aren't always able to carry all of the widths in all of the shoes that have them available. However, you can always find widths on skechers.com, and the store would be more than happy to work with you to get the width you need sent directly to you, too.

It does not appear that this older D'Lites model is returning in the all black color, but there are several other options including several new versions of the D'Lites shoes. In all black, we have several popular Sport and Performance comfort shoes including the Flex Appeal - Pure Tone, Synergy - Elite Status, and the classic Energy and Premiums sneakers. There is also a Work version of the all black original D'Lites, the D'Lite S R, which is the same shoe but with a slip resistant outsole.

The D'Lites in the classic black should be back in stock on skechers.com around early October, and the D'Lites - Extreme in black/white appear to be coming back into stock in November. The D'Lites SR is currently in stock in all black, this model has the slip resistant outsole.
