The best thing about these is that they (and all Skechers) seem to fit true to size and are pretty comfortable. I've been having so many problems lately with other brands fitting differently depending on brand or even for different shoes within the same brand. Most surprising is the number of casual or athletic shoes I've tried that are plenty long, but seem to be made for people with feet the thickness of a piece of cardboard (i.e. they are very tight in the area of the laces or just behind the toes). Not these, they fit exactly like I expected based on the size, and fit well in length, width, and height in the lace area.

I have plantar fasciitis problems, and find these to be comfortable. They do not have an excessive amount of arch support (which I find uncomfortable), nor do are they over-cushioned (which causes other pains for me). They seem to have just the right amount of support and cushioning.

They are good for walking, but also look nice enough (and just "non-sneaker" enough) to be OK for an office environment. I also like that they come with extra laces, have multiple color choices (I got the black and brown and may get the grey later) and aren't incredibly expensive compared to some others.

The only thing I would probably like to change is if they were a bit more flexible in the toe region and had less of an "upturn" in the toe. But that's a personal preference that might not apply to everyone.

Also, although it's not clear from the pics, be aware that the black ones are suede-like but the other colors are regular leather. They all look good, but I especially like the suede (or Nubuck or whatever it is).

Color is nice and subtle, with a minimum amount of "bling". The ankle has a low rise, which you can't really tell in the photo. My complaint is that there is hardly any arch support. I now have to go buy some inserts. For around town, their ok. But for walking any significant distant, not so much.

I enjoy wearing my Skechers but I need just a little more arch support. The shoes are affordable and require very little "breaking in".

              A:

The Skechers D'Lites Raptures shoes have a trubuck leather upper, I recommend using a suede and nubuck cleaning spray or lotion to clean the leather parts of the shoe, and mild soap, warm water and a soft cloth to clean the non-leather parts of the shoe like the lining or the sole.

          • Q:

I just purchased these shoes and want to protect them from rain. Can I use water and stain protector for LEATHER? If not, what do you recommend? It has a suede feel to it. Thank you.

            • CUSTOMER CARE

              A:

The Raptures in the black is actually a nubuck leather, so you may want to use a suede/nubuck style leather waterproofing spray treatment on them. Leather protectant may work as well, but you may want to try waterproofing a small less-seen part of the shoe first just to ensure the product is right for the shoe.

            • A:

I don't know if this is the recommended aproached but I always use Suede & Nubuck cleaner. It also conditions the item and helps protect it from the weather. Hope this helps!

Unfortunately it looks like the light brown wide width Raptures is sold out now, but there should be other colors and D'Lites sneakers available in a wide size 9.

Look for the style number 11469 on the label in the shoe. If it says 11469, it's a medium width. If the label has 11469EW, it's a wide width.
