I have not worn a pair of skechers for about 10yrs. or more but have always loved them. I'm a very heavy woman and have an extremely wide foot. I usually invest in Brooks sneakers because they cater to my foot pain, orthodic and width needs. I was told by a friend to try these new skechers with memory foam because she too has foot and heel pain and it has helped her. I was very skeptical but decided to give them a try because they are half the price of Brooks and the beautiful selection of colors were attractive to me. All I can say is WOW!!! I am a skeptic no more, I absolutely love how lightweight and comfortable they sneakers are. The only problem I have with buying these shoes is that you don't offer a larger variety for my wide width foot. I've only seen a couple pair that are wide enough for me but I don't really like the colors I am offered. You have beautiful colors in medium width however that doesn't help me. These could definitely become my new favorite shoe now that I'm getting back into working out but I need to own a few pair for my everyday use and fear that I won't be able to due to lack of variety in my size. I hope this helps to give an inside of a lot of people's needs, since I personally know a lot of people with wider feet. Also I forot to mention how much I appreciate the knit and breathability of these shoes.

I have a wide foot, and these are wide enough to be comfortable. They are very lightweight, which is important to me. I am on my feet most of my work day, and do a lot of walking. The memory foam is wonderful. I am 63 years old, and like the fact they are not "too showy". The only negative thing about these shoes is the durability. This is my second pair, and, like the first pair, the inside seam by the front of the foot is pulling loose. Since this problem happened in both pairs, I think there is a flaw in design or construction. They are wearable, but I am disappointed in the construction. I love these shoes, but, probably could not recommend them.

Comments about Flex Appeal - Sweet Spot:

I don't like sneakers because they tend to make my feet too hot and uncomfortable. But these sneakers change all that! My feet don't get overheated and they feel like I'm walking on pillows. It's sketchers for me from now on.

    Love the memory foam

    By

    from North Carolina

Comments about Flex Appeal - Sweet Spot:

I have had several foot and ankle surgeries and this is about the only shoe I can wear. The memory foam helps my feet from hurting and allows me to be able to walk more than I can in other shoes. I have two pair and plan to buy several more! I do have to buy a half size larger because of the insert.

        • Flex Appeal - Sweet Spot

          Q:

What's the difference between the sweet spot and spring fever ? I walk and run everyday and these seem like really good shoes.
Asked on 3/1/2015 by mel from Sydney australia

            A:

The two Flex Appeal models have somewhat different types of uppers, though they share the same Flex Appeal sole design. The Sweet Spot model has the Skech-Knit Mesh type of upper that is nearly one piece of seamless mesh fabric - it's lighter weight and very breathable. The Spring Fever model has some synthetic overlays and mesh fabric - so it's a bit more stabilized, but not as light weight as the other design.

Does Skecher make a shoe specifically for tennis?

          • Staff Reviewer

            A:

Currently there are no shoes specifically intended for competition tennis, but most of the Training type sneakers with flatter outsoles are fine for playing tennis. The Flex Appeal should be a decent choice.

I would advise looking at the Skechers GOwalk shoes as well as the Relaxed Fit Sport shoes, all of which specifically have additional toe room.

            A:

There are about 50 or so shoes that come in a women's Wide Width, which is a D width. If you can wear a C width, the Relaxed Fit shoes in a medium width should also fit. There are more wide width shoes coming in 2015, including the new Skechers GOwalk 3.

Having a problem with the memory foam. The memory foam in my shoe doesn't retain it's shape. It's flat and no longer comfortable to wear. Is there anything that can help. I only wear these shoes on the weekend.

          • Staff Reviewer

            A:

You may want to try giving these shoes a wash on the gentle cycle, and letting them air dry completely. Memory Foam in general doesn't always spring back into its original shape once it's been compressed a few times, but the insoles should stay supportive and comfortable even when compressed - they should fit to the shape of your foot. Once they're dry, they should have some additional springiness.
