I have a bad back and when I mean bad back I mean when I come home from work I can barely walk up the stairs I don't have money for the doctors and all they want to do is give you pills. So I saw the commercial on these and saw about them and the first day I noticed something that I had less pain now many months later I upgraded to these I come home from work and I can run up the stairs the pain is barely there and no medication its amazing I have basically everyone from [...] wearing them because I told them my story I am happy that something that you need to wear is what cures my back. I thankyou for making these shoes.

I read all the raging reviews and since I already own and love Skechers Work shoes I rushed to our local mall to buy those. First – very few of the reviewers mention the almost pointy toe of the shoes. What is the point to that in athletic shoe I can not say but it is uncomfortable just walking around the store, I can not imagine working out with those on. When I go next size up, I loose the proper arch support. Second thing that broke the deal – the cheap plasticy feel. If this scrap at the bottom is leather, it is the cheapest available. Overall, the shoes had visual appeal and offered the patent Skechers kinetic wedge but I would not buy or recommend it. I would get any other style but this one.

                A:

Nothing is directly comparable to the SRR shoes currently, you may be able to find someone selling the recently made GOmeb KRS training shoe, that was pretty similar. I'd recommend the Skechers GOrun Ultra shoes for a similar level of comfort and shock absorption in a running shoe.

I have the original skechers shape-up and now I have lost weight and now they are too big. I need a smaller shoe. But now with all the different shape-ups you have I don't know what to buy. I need to know because the different shoes I have looked at my size is 7 1/2 not many of them left. My problem is I have knee, lower back, and neuropathy of my feet. Which are a pain in the foot. Ha Ha Ha...Please tell which model of shape-up shoes I should buy. Thank you!

If you enjoyed the Original Shape-ups, they are still available in a size 7.5 - the Strength in black/white or the Metabolize in white. I would recommend those two for the same type of comfort.

i have a foot injury located under the ball of my foot near the toe joint. My doctor has put me into a surgical shoe but recommended that i get Sketchers 'rockers'. These sports shoes are designed to take weight off the toes and are curved underneath. The original advertising was that they toned the bottom! Are these the shoe that i'm looking for?

The Kinetix is part of the Shape-ups collection, which are the rocker bottom shoe designs. These are the shoes you are looking for, and there are other Shape-ups designs available.

              Q:

I'm size 6. Bought this style in 6.5. But due to the combination of stabilization sole, the roll bridge, and the wedge, they pushed up and squeezed my big toes so much that after a whole day wear, my some of my toes were in pain for the rest of two days. Love the support in this style, but need a bigger size that wouldn't squeeze toes. Should I go for 7 or 7.5?

                A:

If the size 6.5 in the Kinetix feels just a little too small in the toe, you would want to try a size 7 in these. If you feel like you could use even more toe space - these shoes are known to fit a bit small in the toes - you may want to opt for a 7.5.

                A:

The Kinetix is a somewhat heavier version of the Shape-ups shoes, with improved support and stability. If you prefer a lighter shoe, I would recommend the Shape-ups S2 Lite or the Shape-ups Evolution. Then there are the shoes like the Skechers GOwalk 2, which are so much lighter than the Shape-ups that it's nearly unbelievable. Still, if you like the Shape-ups for walking at work - and they do provide good support - I would recommend the S2 Lite as a good choice. That one fits true to size. The Kinetix you may want to order a half size up.

The older SRR running shoes are no longer available, but I would say that the Kinetix or the S2 Lites are similar designs - they both have a substantial amount of support and stability.

                A:

The Kinetix, like most of the Shape-ups shoe collection, are older now, and nothing really came in to replace them. I'd say if you like these and your size is still available, you may want to get these while they are still on skechers.com. I can also recommend the S2 Lite as a good sporty Shape-ups shoe.
