clicked back and forth on several styles many times time before chosing these - glad I chose the right pair. Very comfortable, I run 3 miles on paved greenway and these are great. The insole and thick soles have just the right amount of cushioning. They are sooo light, I feel like I am flying along. I had been wearing uber-expensive Brooks for many years and have switched for good.
These come with pink laces and gray laces. I switched out the pink for the gray to tone them down a bit.

After going through several selections of tennis shoes (walking shoes), I settled on these because the description of the memory foam insole sounded just like my old tennies by Sketchers. I was very disappointed when they arrived and were not. I have written to Sketchers to ask if they still had my old shoe style in stock, but haven't heard back from them.
I walk 3-4 miles a day and hit the pavement hard for a walker. My old shoes held up with the great memory foam insole. I wouldn't be able to walk far with the new ones. I have arthritis as well as neuropathy in my feet and toes and need extra soft cushioning that my old shoes had.

The Skechers GOwalk shoes are still available, but they are in the 4th generation of designs. If these are an original GOwalk design (also known as the GOwalk 1) you may want to look at the Skechers GO STEP, GO STEP Lite or GOwalk Lite designs that have a similar look and feel of the original GOwalk shoes.

There are plenty of shoes available in a women's Wide Fit, which is a D width. For a wider fit, I can recommend looking at similar shoes in the men's Wide Fit, which is a 2E width. You'd want to convert two whole sizes down - a men's size 8 Wide Fit would be a women's size 10 Extra Wide Fit.

I would recommend these Flex Appeal 2.0 shoes as well as the GOrun 600 models. Both are very lightweight, they come in Wide Fit options and should be good for your workout needs.

Currently Skechers does not make shoes in a narrow width. I would recommend a shoe such as this model, though, because it features the Air Cooled Memory Foam insole which should provide a comfortable fit even on a more narrow foot, and the lace up design allow for a snug comfortable fit.

                A:

Though Skechers currently does not make shoes in triple A narrow width, there are shoes that may be a good fit. I would recommend shoes such as this Flex Appeal 2.0 sneaker - a lace up design, with the Air Cooled Memory Foam insoles and not part of the Wide Fit or Relaxed Fit collections. The insole should help provide a more comfortable fit, and the laces should allow you to have a snug feeling.

              Q:

I have very high arches and suffer from plantar fasciitis. My custom orthotic insoles seem to make most shoes feel tight, even after I remove the shoes' current insoles. Can you recommend a shoe, in a 9 1/2 wide, that has more depth/deeper fit than the average shoe?

              • A:

I have the same problem. Extreme heel pain. I purchased the Sketch-Air Style. It's true to size and I don't need any extra insoles because the memory foam is well padded and the Sketch-Air has a extra sole padding. It's like walking on air shock absorbers. It works great to prevent heel pain from inflammation due to plantar fascitis.

I would recommend a shoe with a knit upper such as the Skechers Flex Appeal 2.0 - Insights or Skechers GO STEP Lite - Ultrasock for your needs. The stretchable fabric uppers should be able to provide room for insoles.
