I am in love with this sneaker! By far the most comfortable sneaker I've ever worn. Very flexible, cushiony yet supportive. I'm on my feet as a nurse for 12 hours at a time & my feet feel great afterwards. Also wore these around DisneyWorld for 12+ hours of walking per day & they were fab! I'm definitely buying a 2nd pair so I have 1 for work & 1 for play.

The toe box is very generous, however, the shoe is very narrow through the arch. I have developed blisters from the sides rubbing, from the balls of my feet through the middle of my arches...both feet. I have tried different socks, no socks, rub shields, to no avail. I've also developed a top of the foot pain. When I change to my old shoes, the pain is alleviated. I haven't given up on them yet, I have made some great runs in them. But I am currently alternating them with my others between runs, sometimes during a run, if the pain gets bad.

GO RUNs are great, lightweight shoes for the gym. These are the 3rd pair of Skechers I've bought. GO RUNS have lots of room in the toebox. Heel stays in place; no burning sensations under my feet. I was encouraged by salesperson to purchase GO RUN RIDE the 2nd time because she said the shoe was exactly the same--with more cushion. I bought them, however my feet began to tingle, burn and then go numb under the cushions of my feet (behind by my toes). I think the added cushion occupied the extra space my feet/toes needed. I've decided to just stick with the original GO RUNs. They are AWESOME!

I love the support these shoes provide while I run, walk, jog and play sports (such as basketball and tennis). I have a high arch and other shoes don't seem to provide the same type of support. Other shoes make my feet hurt. Sketchers Go Run feel great when I put them on and play for hours. I highly reccommend Sketchers. I've recieved several comments on how they look too!

I had been running in the Nike FreeRuns, and was not even looking for another pair of running shoes. Prior to the Nike shoes, I used to run in traditional style Asics that were heavy and bulky. I have never liked running, and especially never liked running in bulky shoes, so when I bought my Nikes I was thrilled that running shoes were of a more minimalist design. While visiting a local shoe store about 5+ months ago I was approached by a salesman asking if I would mind just trying on the GoRuns after we got to talking about running shoes. I loved how they felt right away, and could not wait to try them out.

The first time I ran in them was without socks, and although they felt great overall I did get blisters on the outer sides of my feet because of the stitching. Since then I have been running with thin running socks and have not had a single issue. I run in them on the road and even some trails. They are not the greatest for trail running (obviously), but I just watch where I am going and run lighter on foot with more of a forefoot strike. As far as minimalist shoes go, I would never go as far as the 5-toe barefoot kind, but I like the next step up, and feel that the GoRuns fit that category. I still do not love to run, but these shoes definitely make me enjoy running more now.

I run anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour+ at a time, but I suspect that even running longer, these shoes would feel just as good. And I love that they promote a mid-foot strike, which helps me to try and train myself to run more of a mid to fore-foot strike, instead of the traditional heel-strike that I was used too (and happy I don't do anymore).

Do you need to go up a half size with the GoRun for toe box space or do these give you toe box space for your actual street shoe size?

                  A:

The Skechers GOrun shoes are made to be worn barefoot, and due to that, the toe box is a roomier fit so your toes can move more naturally when you walk or run in them, also known as 'toe splay'. I don't think you should need to order a half size bigger in these shoes, or in any of the other Skechers GOrun or Skechers GOwalk shoes.

The Skechers GOrun is a radically lightweight running shoe, per the description it weighs just 4.9 ounces per shoe in a women's size 6.

                  A:

The GOrun Ride and GOrun Ride Ultra are the same shoe, they just have a slightly different upper design. They are the more cushioned version of the GOrun, but still have a 4mm drop and promote a midfoot strike. The original GOrun shoe is more of a minimal barefoot-feel running shoe.

              • Q:

I am very interested in the new Go Run series and I am wondering which style is more appropriate for me betweens the GO Run and the GO train? I am on my feet a lot and I do work out a lot. I walk/run on the treadmill, use the elliptical, cross-train, take Zumba, spinning and step classes, and I am starting to now run outdoors. I am a novice runner, I am trying to build up endurance and I need something lightweight but supportive. I did try on the Go Run and the Go Run Ride's at a retail location and the Go Run's fit better but I'm worried about not enough cushioning.

In the past, I generally have used the New Balance brand sneakers for working out and cross-training.
I have also used the Sketcher's Shape Ups for workouts as well.
                Need some guidance please.

For cross training especially higher impact activities like step classes combined with running, I'd definitely recommend the GOtrain shoe. It's a great combination of the same feeling of the GOrun for running with more stability for activities that require lateral movement. I have a pair myself and find them to be very comfortable for a variety of fitness activities.

                  A:

The GOrun is not designed with a removable insole - customers who normally wear insoles tell us that they have found the shoes are comfortable without them. However, if your insole is fairly thin the shoes should be able to accommodate them. I can also recommend the GOrun Ride shoes, which do have a removable insole, and should be able to accommodate an orthotic better than the GOrun shoes.

                  A:

You may want to consult a physician first regarding your shin and calf pain, and see if your doctor recommends a shoe with more arch support and/or a rocker bottom shoe. While many people recommend the GOrun for it's light weight, flexibility and arch support, you may also want to look at the Shape-ups, especially the LIV, for even more support and cushioning.

I am planning on getting another pair (or two) but I see that you have one called "G0-run-ride". What is the difference? Is there a specific type of runner you are targeting with this shoe (pronator, supinator, neutral runner etc.)?

I want to know before I invest in a second pair of "go-run".

                • CUSTOMER CARE

                  A:

The GOrun Ride is similar to the GOrun shoe in that they both promote a midfoot stride, give you a super-responsive barefoot-type running experience and are very light weight. The GORun Ride has more cushioning in the midfoot area than the original GOrun, so it's meant for a runner who requires a bit more shock absorption.

While some customers have advised that they do use their GOrun shoes for gym training, I would advise you to try the new, just-about-to-be-released GOtrain shoe, which is the cross training and gym fitness version of the GOrun. The difference is that the GOtrain has improved stability for a wider variety of activities.
