I've gone through various other sneakers, and have had no luck in finding the right fit, and comfort. I go through sneakers fairly often,(because I am overweight), and when I first put on these new Skechers Men's Equalizer 2.0, I knew right off that these weren't like any of the other sneakers that I have tried. The Skechers fit me to a T!! They are extremely light weight, and very, very comfortable. When I walk, they actually form to my feet, meaning that there is no "break-in period". They are good to go right out of the box,...so summing it all up, I very much recommend these sneakers to anyone having a hard time finding the right fitting sneakers!

The shoes look great and are very comfortable however it doesn't seem to provide much arch support and the black rubber part of the soul is already wearing out after day one it seems that instead of using black rubber they use some kind of paint over white rubber which is very disappointing.

Comments about Equalizer 2.0 - True Balance:

I wear my Equalizer 2.0's for casual wear and for working out. They are attractive, comfortable, and very light weight. I haven't had the shoes long enough to comment on durability. However, they appear well made and I suspect they will last a long time. Earlier this year I purchased a pair of this shoe in navy blue. For the price, they are a real bargain. I wear a size 13 XW. Hard to find in many brands. Thanks for making your many offerings in XW. Make additional colors and I may have another pair!

              Q:

You catalog lists the 51530 NVLM to be available in Wide width, however when I go to order online is lists EXTRA WIDE width only. Is it available in WIDE width?

                A:

This shoe is available in a men's Extra Wide Fit, which is a 4E width. Many similar shoes are available in the men's Wide Fit, which is a 2E width.

What does 1"heel or 1 1/4" heel mean.Is it the width in the back center meaning 1" is a narrower heel than 1 1/4"?Or is it the height in the back?

Heel measurement is the heel height - measured from the ground to where your heel rests on the insole.

              Q:

I am a true size 11-4E width.I bought the go walk 4 in 11 extra wide and the go walk city in the same size. They fit just right with not much room to spare.I try to buy a shoe with a squarish rather than a pointed front because they tend to have more room.I have a fairly narrow heel so I cannot go to 11.5 because I will get heel slippage.I use the shoes to walk when I play golf about 5-6 times a week for about 6 miles a day.I like the go walk city for its cushioning and it's held up really well so far better than the go walk 4.I'd like to buy anothe 3-4 pairs that would work for me.I weigh 225lbs.Your help would be appreciated.I tried your go golf shoes in extra wide(v3)and they were no wide enough.

It depends on what width he currently wears. A Skechers men's Wide Fit is a 2E width, while the Extra Wide Fit is a 4E width. Most of the time if a man wears a Wide Fit, the Extra Wide is going to feel comfortable as well.

The Equalizer 2.0 model is a very good cross training shoe, suitable for workout and fitness activities including interval jogging or treadmill running. I can also recommend the GOtrain shoes for more of a running shoe with cross training capacity.

              Q:

Skechers used to be known for 'rocker sole' shoes, which is what I want and need for my feet. I'm 62 with bad big toe joints (arthritis & spurs) which prevents me from pushing off without pain(ex: can't do shin push ups). I need a stiff rocker type sole that is also extra wide. Is the Skecher "Equalizer 2.0 - True Balance" considered a stiff rocker type sole shoe? If not, how similar might it be to the old rockers (which is what I need but they are all too narrow)?

It sounds like you are looking for Skechers Shape-ups, which were available earlier in the year in an updated version, but are currently sold out. In a men's Extra Wide I would recommend the Equalizer 2.0 shoes, Monaco TR or After Burn shoes as sport shoes with good solid soles and lots of comfort.
