  • Q:

How are these boots on traction, snow and ice. and will they keep your feet warm or are they for looks

      A:

The Lunacy boot is not intended to be a snow or cold weather boot, more of a casual boot. They do have a lug rubber outsole that would provide fairly decent traction, though it's not expressly meant for snow or ice. They are not insulated or lined for warmth. There are some boots in our Cold Weather boot category that are waterproof and have Thinsulate insulation, those boots would be better suited for warmth.

  • LUNACY

    Q:

Is the Lunacy as comfortable as the Shape-up? I need comfort and support, but I like the distinct heel look of the Lunacy.

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

The Lunacy boot is not the same as the Shape-ups shoes, it does not have the same fitness design or support, it should feel more like a casual boot. You may want to look at some of the Shape-ups or Tone-ups boots available if you want a comfortable boot.

  • LUNACY

    Q:

    Is it waterproof?
Asked on 11/4/2010 by Kit from New Jersey

    1 answer

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

The Lunacy boot has a suede upper that is not waterproof as it comes, but you can easily give them a spray treatment with a suede-specific 'rain and stain' product to make it water resistant.

The Shape-ups Freestyle boot is a similar tall dressy boot design.

  • LUNACY

    Q:

I have 18-19 inch calves would these fit??
    Asked on 10/19/2010 by Anonymous

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

If you check the shoe description, the circumference for the Lunacy boot is given as 15 inches at the top. If you measure from your bare foot up 11 inches (the boot's shaft height), the calf circumference at that point should be less than 15 inches to fit properly.

      A:

From what I have heard, the Lunacy boot should run true to size.
