Comments about After Burn Memory Fit - Strike On:

Needed a shoe for walking, these fit the bill. Comfortable with stability. Width is good for those with wider feet, does not feel bulky or heavy, great fit for size 13 wide. Price is good for its purpose. These shoes should last 6 months or better with casual wear. Face it they don't make this type of foot wear to last. Other brands at double the cost may get you more wear, depending on abuse or purpose. This shoe is Not for running or climbing mountains. Walking and easy cross training best use.

Comments about After Burn Memory Fit - Strike On:

I purchased these shoes to officiate football. The memory gel makes these comfortable.
However, they are quite heavy and fit big. I felt a bit sluggish with these on.

My husband only wears the shape up style which he was able to purchase from Amazon however no longer available. Can you advise of a suitable subsistue style.

              A:

For most customers who enjoyed the cushioning and support of the Shape-ups, I am currently recommending they try the Skechers GOwalk Max shoes for walking - they are well cushioned and supportive, similar to the Shape-ups.

The Memory Foam insoles on the After Burn should be lightly secured in place, but should be able to be removed for use with an orthotic.

              A:

There are three models currently in stock in a white Extra Wide Fit size 10.5 sneaker, all three should weigh about the same, as they share the same basic design, about 13 oz. per shoe.

            Q:

What is the purpose of the two holes in the upper most eyelet? How should they be used? It is not immediately obvious to me, and in looking at the picture on your website, I see that only one is used.

            • Staff Reviewer

              A:

The double hole on the top eyelet allows you to use different lacing techniques including 'lock lacing' for a more secure fit. There are some excellent guides to different lacing techniques online.

              A:

Yes, I would say these are the closest in look and feel to the Cross Court TR shoe that is currently available in an Extra Wide. I also like the Equalizer 2.0 shoe, but that's a bit lighter weight.
