This is my first pair of these Sketchers and I absolutely love them to this point. They fit true to size. They also provide a good snug fit just the way I like them so I'm not having to pull the laces tight. They look great without being too over the top, provide excellent support, are super comfortable and have a great sole that doesn't slip. My profession demands a lot of walking, squatting and lifing and so far these Sketchers are holding up great.

Liked the style and wanted to try the brand for comfort. First pair I have tried. I am not satisfied with the comfort of the shoe. They are marked wide width, but are cramped in the toe box. My regular New Balance are size 10 4E and they are comfortable. I like the style of a lot of your shoes and would try more if I could find the correct fit. Comfort and style are most important to me. I have only been able to wear these shoes twice. Can I return them for a proper fitting replacement?

Comments about Vigor 2.0 - Serpentine:

This is the first time I've ordered shoes on line. I am very picky about my shoes and usually have a hard time finding any that look good and feel right. I had a friend who bought some from sketchers and he loved them so I gave them a try. I love them. They look great and feel great. I do a lot of walking and they work great.

Wouldr probably buy more of you had colors such as tan, brown, navyI.
The fact that they are NOT flashy or "hip" looking is a big selling point for me, and probably also for the huge demographic of older men.

          Q:

These are UGLY - is this the ONLY shoe that comes in 11 Wide or 13 Wide? Why are the widths on your shoes different for the different styles? I am seeing posts that the Extra Wide was super big on people... and in the regular memory foam shoe (that I bought last year and is no longer available in wide)the regular width ran narrow. This makes it VERY hard for me to order shoes!! WHAT SIZE DO I TRY? and will you exchange without charging shipping if I have to try again? This is NOT convenient they need shoes NOW.

            A:

There are two different wide width options in men's shoes. The Wide Fit option is a men's 3E width, which is the option that more people tend to wear, so there are many different shoes available in the Wide Fit, including the Skechers GOwalk 3 and many different shoes with Memory Foam.

There are also shoes available in the Extra Wide Fit option, which is a men's 5E/6E width. I see there are several different shoes available in this width option, many are available in a size 11 and 13 in the Extra Wide.

If you find that a Wide Fit, the 3E width shoe, is too narrow for your needs - and if you normally wear an Extra Wide or 5E/6E width shoe - you may want to check the shoes available in that width option, the Cross Court TR is a newer shoe that has Memory Foam and comes in men's sizes 11 through 13 in that width.

Naturally, shipping is free and return shipping is free for Skechers Elite members.

Light-ness and heel comfort of the shoe is very important to me as I will be wearing them 12 hours a day. Of the three, Serpentine vs Afterburn vs Cross fit, which is the most comfortable and light-weight?

            A:

Of the three shoes, I would recommend the Cross Court TR, it's a newer model compared to the Serpentine and After Burn, it has well padded midsole and heel, and adds the Gel Infused Memory Foam insole for supreme comfort. It's also lighter weight than the other two.

          Q:

Have multiple questions ....Can you please explain the differences between the Serpentine vs Afterburn vs Cross fit ? Which is the lightest, which is better for light running and also which is the best for indoor Volleyball. Or if none of these, which is the best Sketchers line for indoor Volleyball and light running. Thanks

            A:

There are a few differences, but all three shoes are considered to be cross training shoes, suitable for most athletic activities, but not really optimized for higher mileage running. The Serpentine and the After Burn Memory Fit models are similar to one another, they are a thicker soled 'classic' sneaker look with the addition of Memory Foam insoles in both models. The Cross Court TR model is a newer design, part of the Relaxed Fit collection with a roomier fit for added comfort. All three should be fine for volleyball and jogging, with the Cross Court being the lightest of the three. I could also recommend taking a look at the Flex Advantage designs, or the Skechers GOrun Ride 4 for running.

If you do not normally wear a wide width, I would advise you to stay with the medium width in Skechers shoes. The Memory Foam insole is designed to conform to your foot and provide a custom-type comfort fit. It does not take away any of the size or the width of the shoe.

Not much. I have a wide foot and these are just not wide enough.
