Averaging 20-60K steps a week while wearing these shoes while working, Good fitting and performing shoes, however after wearing them for 3 weeks my lower back is killing me, Never had a pair of walking shoes tweak my back like this. Arch support is fair and will need to add more support. Not sure what the next step is with these shoes. Too expensive to abandon them to the closet.
Memory Foam shoes require user adjustment period? Not happy about this issue as it is my first Sketchers pair.

            Q:

I have flat feet. This sneaker is good for me? Which model is good for my flat feet? Thanks!

              A:

The Stamina - Cutback has a very good cushioned and supportive midsole that many customers like. I can also recommend the Skechers GOwalk 4 and GOwalk Max models for a lighter weight design that provides excellent support.

The Stamina, After Burn and D'Lites models all have good-sized heels, from 1 1/2 inches to 1 3/4 inches. Those are all good training shoes with some height.

          • Stamina - Cutback

            Q:

I purchased SN50988 CCBK at the Fullerton, CA Skechers store some months ago. I liked the performance of this shoe so decided to repurchase it again from the website. When I looked through the various SPORT models I see that SN50988 is a Stamina-Nuovo. However in comparing the Nuovo with the shoe I purchased; it looks like my shoe is really the Stamina-Cutback. I used the roll-over feature on the shoe pictures to differentiate every detail and am sure my shoe is the Cutback although the product label indicates it's a Nuovo. I know my current shoe is a Cutback as it does not have the word "SKECHERS" on the outside middle of the shoe near the sole as the Nuovo does. And it has only 3 cutouts near the first shoestring loop where as the Nuovo has 4. Clearly the Cutback and the Nuovo are very similar but is it possible the product label was mistakenly added to the Cutback's I own during the manufacturing process? Have you heard of this kind of thing happening before?

              A:

That sort of thing is known to happen, especially when two shoes are virtually similar - small details like the label or small cutout accents can undergo what are called 'running changes' in a different generation of shoes. Hopefully this will not take away from your enjoyment of the shoes - the two shoes are very similar models and should share the same fit and comfort.

          • Stamina - Cutback

            Q:

What is the difference between the this sneaker (Stamina Cut Back Training Shoe 50988) and the Stamina Nuovo 51286 from a usage and comfort perspective.

              A:

While they are based on the same basic design, the Stamina - Cutback does have a more advanced Memory Foam insole, while the Nuovo model does not have Memory Foam.

          • Stamina - Cutback

            Q:

Is this model reliable enough for tough activities like parkour and freerunning? If not can you recommend any better models?

            • Staff Reviewer

              A:

The Stamina model is a substantial, durable sneaker with a full length rubber outsole that should be tough for different activities. I also can recommend the Skechers GOwalk Outdoors and GOtrail models for waterproof and all terrain outsoles, Geo-Trek models for updated durable design, and other Sport models like the Cross Court TR or After Burn Geardo.

It looks like you have two stores near you that may carry this shoe, at McLendon Towne Crossing or at Chelsea Square. If they don't have it, they will ensure you know what size you would wear in the shoe and they'll order it to be sent to your home for free.
