I bought, and started using, this product on March 25th. It is now April 15th and the inside of the shoe, behind my heel, is wearing away. I now have a blister as a result. The sole is wearing out. I use this shoe for walking and ONLY walking. I walk 3 miles a day, 6 or seven days a week. It has not been a month and the shoe has already started to come apart. Not very durable!

            Q:

Is the EWW equivalent to 3E? 4E? 5E? from other brand shoes? I wear a 3E shoe and a 4E sneaker.

              A:

A men's Extra Wide Fit shoe should be equivalent to a men's 4E/5E width.

Is there any way to sign up for an email update in the event that a Skechers shoe of any kind is newly offered in an extra wide or wide fit? Would save me from having to check the list every day.

              A:

Not currently, but that's a good idea. Currently you can see the shoes that will be coming in a wide fit if you see the selection 'Wide Fit' when you look at the available widths, but there are no sizes currently available - that means there will be wides coming.

Yes but only slightly, for more durability I would go with the Bursts, which are amazing and in my opinion the best in this category of Skechers shoes, in every regard.

              A:

The Equalizer 2.0 is a somewhat different construction than the Skechers GOwalk 3 shoes, the midsole is more solid piece without the added Goga Pillar features, so in that aspect these can be considered more durable.

Will the black version be offered in EWW and if not does the navy/orange version include additional blue laces, as Bursts often do?

The Equalizer 2.0 - Settle the Score is coming in an Extra Wide Fit version in the black/black around mid July or so. The Navy/Orange color should also include a second color lace set.

Currently I don't see that this particular color of the Equalizer 2.0 is coming in the Extra Wide Fit option. Several other colors are, though. I can also recommend looking at the men's Burst shoes in the Extra Wide Fit, as there are some good designs available.

The Equalizer 2.0 features a more robust midsole and outsole construction that should hold up very well to workouts and training as well as walking and comfort wear. You could also look at the Skechers GOwalk 3 shoes for walking.
