Purchased these as walking/casual shoes and they really provide a lot of padding or shock absorbing from walking on hard ground. Store had neither of my normal sizes of 11.5 or 12 in stock, so had a size 12 shipped to me and they are very slightly too large above the foot and in the heel area, but not bad. Put a sole pad inside and it helped, but probably would have liked to try an 11.5 to compare. Extremely comfortable and lightweight, feel absolutely great other than being slightly larger fit than a couple of my other size 12 Sketchers. Don't expect them to wear out for quite a while, but would choose this pair again because of the good feel.

Skechers needs to put more effort into the engineering of their shoes, even if it adds to the cost.

Comments about Equalizer 2.0 - On Track:

bought these for my extra-big 6' 7" son. He loved them so much that I ordered him an extra pair just because he loved them so much.
He is on his feet a lot at his job and aching feet/knees was a big problem. After a week of wearing these shoes, he called to thank me for feet that no longer pained him. Thanks Sketchers!

                  Q:

I'm a 67 year old male. I bought these shoes to wear all day everyday and noticed my knee has started bothering me soon after I started wearin them, 1 week. Are these the correct shoes for me? They are the, Relaxed Fit Air cooled Memory Foam. Equalizer 2.0, Settle The Score model #51529/NVOR. Love them but are they the right shoe for me?

                  Thanks,
                  Mike

                    A:

I don't see why these wouldn't be a good choice - I recommend the comfort and support of the Air Cooled Memory Foam insole, and the Equalizer 2.0 design is a good one for most customers. However, if you are experiencing pain or discomfort, I recommend to discontinue heavy use of the shoes, and perhaps ease into wearing them little by little. Sometimes wearing a more supportive or cushioned design shoe takes some adjustment, especially if you haven't been wearing a supportive or well cushioned design previously.

Does this shoe have a wide toe box. My feet are narrow but cant tolerate a tight toe area so wide is not an option unless I wear multiple socks.

This Equalizer 2.0 shoe is the wider width, it's a men's Extra Wide Fit, which is a 5E width. The Flex Advantage SR shoe is a Wide Fit, which is a men's 3E width.

The Air-Cooled Memory Foam has a fresh design that is somewhat similar to an Airator in that there is cool fresh air circulating along with a lot of comfort and support. You should be able to wear these training sneakers barefoot.
