Extremely light weight, even lace are so thin. So feels comfortable. And I do mid-foot strike on treadmill, runs 5-6 miles a day and my strike is mild-to-moderate pronated. This shoe hurts my midfoot. Now after much research on Nike/Adidas/Saucony/Newton I think I am good choosing a shoe similar to what I had been using, with an inward bulge at the mid-sole but with proper support on the mid-foot sole. Also I am not sure Skechers give priority to the most important health fact - How pronated is a runner? Wouldn't recommend. I returned my pair. But good if you are just looking for a light weight apparel.

This an update to a reivew I posted on 9/1/12. Updating from 4 to 5 stars!! Since my last review I have continued to use these on long training runs and have run two halh marathons and a full marathon in them. Very confortable and good fit. No foot problems at all. Light as a feather. The best part is that after all the miles I've put on them they show very little wear and are still as confortable as the day I got them. Just bought a second pair I found on sale. Wouls recomend these for road races.

Great shoes. I'm a difficult fit, with a wide foot. These shoes are the first pair in years that are 100% comfortable. And, they look good. I wish I could wear these all day long. I hope they make these in a dress shoe!

Outstanding comfort. I was skeptical about "sockless" shoes since I'm a really big fan of socks but these shoes actually do feel very comfortable with or without socks. Extremely light and comfortable for walking on hikes, running or even casual wear. I'm also flat-footed and have had issues with most athletic shoes causing pain but I have had zero pain/discomfort with these shoes. Also a very stylish looking shoe. I'm usually right in between 10 and 10 1/2 and usually get 1/2 size larger for athletic shoes. However, with this shoe in particular the 10 1/2 felt like a full size too big and the 10 fit the way a 10 1/2 usually feels. If you are a "tweener" trust me when I say go for the smaller size. Outstanding shoe; would HIGHLY recommend.

It does look like the Wide widths in the GOrun have sold out. It doesn't look like there is a set return date, but it's pretty likely these should come back into stock later in the year.

I bought the GOrun to do competitive walking in the local Roadrunners . The bottom line is they wear out too fast . I strike hard with the heel. Can you suggest a similar but more durable product?

                        A:

The GOrun shoe is made to promote a midfoot strike, so they're more ideal for running than walking. For walking you may want to try the new GOwalk - Elite athletic walking shoe. I also like the men's LIV shoes for fast walking.

Many customers have given our shoes very good reviews for wearing at work for long hours. I do recommend a shoe with a bit more cushioning than the GOrun - a lot of men like the Shape-ups XT or Shape-ups Work shoes for standing and walking for long hours.

                        A:

The GOrun is more of a minimal shoe - it's super lightweight and responsive and promotes a midfoot strike when you run. The GOrun Ride and GOrun Ride Ultra are two designs of a more cushioned version of the original GOrun shoe. The Ride collection has a bit more cushioning in the midsole for increased shock absorption, but the same kind of responsive ride, midfoot strike and super light weight.

                        A:

I would recommend the GOrun if you normally are a neutral runner who doesn't need extra cushioning - it gives a very natural feeling, barefoot-style stride with good support. If you feel like you may need extra cushioning, the GOrun Ride and GOrun Ride-Ultra is what I'd recommend.

You can wash the GOrun shoes either by hand or in a machine - if you are hand washing I recommend using mild soap, warm water and a soft cloth. If by machine, I recommend using the gentle cycle, putting the shoes in a laundry bag or pillowcase, and air drying.

Sizes shown on skechers.com are USA sizes. If you are faced with the choice of only the size 8 or the size 9 locally, you may want to try a size 8 as it may stretch out a bit when you run in them. Or you could look at placing an order on skechers.com through an international reshipping site.

The Orthera looks like it's thin enough to where it wouldn't be too bad with an athletic shoe, but you may want to try the GOrun on without the orthotic first, as many people have said the shoes provide very good support even without any orthotic.
