I walk on a lot of uneven terrain. This shoe allows my natural foot to "feel" the surface, yet I have support.

I wear a wide running shoe EE new balance. Will this shoe be wide enough

                      A:

If you normally wear a wide width running shoe, the Skechers GOrun Ride in a medium width may feel a little narrow, but keep in mind these are made to be worn barefoot. That and the roomy fit in the toe box may allow for a comfortable fit.

I wear EE as well, I'm a 12 and trust me, these GoRides are the best I've ever worn in my entrie life. Won't change them for the world. I mainly do road cycling, didn't run in the past due to plantar fascitis, but with these shoes I'm considering TriAthlons.

Is the Go Run Ride a good choice for every day wear ? I've read that the Go Run shoe is great for running but may be uncomfortable when standing or walking because of the midshoe "bump". Thanks.

                      A:

The Skechers GOrun Ride is ideal for running for those who want more cushioning, so they may feel more comfortable for walking as well. The Skechers GOrun 2 has many of the same advantages of the original Skechers GOrun but smooths out the midsole support as well.

When u say Gorun Ride and Gorun Ultra has different upper designs and overlay stability? Which has better overlay stability? Also, my feet perspire excessively, Is upper material in Gorun ride or Gorun Ultra more suitable for sweaty feet?

                    • CUSTOMER CARE

                      A:

Both the Skechers GOrun Ride and the GOrun Ride - Ultra have OrthoLite in the midsole, so that helps with the sweating. They both have good amounts of mesh in the upper to keep the shoe cool and your feet fresh. I'd say that of the two, the Skechers GOrun Ride - Ultra has a more stabilized upper design, due to the structure of the overlays.

The men's Skechers GOrun Ride come in a D width, and they should fit a bit roomier in the toe area.

                  • Q:

What are the differences between the GOrun Ride and GOrun 2? It looks like the "2" would have more support in the heel, but have the same overall feel as the Ride with the extra midfood padding.

                    • CUSTOMER CARE

                      A:

The Skechers GOrun 2 is the second generation of the original GOrun, so it has that shoe's more streamlined, minimal feel while still promoting a midfoot strike. The Skechers GOrun ride has the extra cushioning in the midfoot, so that's the main difference between it and the GOrun 2. The GOrun 2 does have a bit more stability in the midfoot and heel areas of the upper.

                      A:

The Skechers GOrun shoe has a barefoot feel with a 4mm drop and a minimal design. The Skechers GOrun Ride is a similar shoe but features more cushioning for a runner that needs more of a cushioned ride. It also has a 4mm drop and a minimal feel, but has that added cushioning in the midsole.

I'd recommend you give these GOrun Ride a try, once you get used to running in them, and particularly if you like a midfoot strike-encouraging minimal feeling running shoe with good cushioning. These and the GOrun are the two shoes I'd recommend most for running longer distances.

                      A:

The Vari-Lock is an extra eyelet at the top of the shoe that allows you to lace these in a way that puts less stress on the foot but does not come loose even with a lot of running. There should be lacing diagrams on most running websites that show different ways to do this.

                      A:

From what I have heard, the GOrun Ride have good longevity, they are the more cushioned version of the GOrun shoes. They are very lightweight and have a form-fitting upper with minimal stitching, so there are less places to wear out. It also depends on your running style, where you run, the weather conditions, etc.
