I owned a pair of Go Run's and was very happy with them. I trained and ran a half Marathon in them and knew I would need more cushion to get me through another 13.1 for a full marathon. I read about the Go Bionics and just could not wait. I know own a pair of Go Run Ride's and a pair of go bionics. I alternate them in my training and use my Bionics for my shorter runs/teadmill/and even some cross training in the gym. I love the comfortable yet enhancing feel of these shoes. Very roomy yet secure and I dont even need to mention thier weight. They do have more of a minimalist feel but the cushion is just enough that I can take them anywhere. I am very happy with their new running line and cant wait to see were they go next in regards to improvements and style.

The shoes are red. I ran in wet weather. The red shoe dye ran and colored large areas of my socks into red. Not Acceptable! No other running shoe has done this in my experience.
The insole is very thin. In the last half-mile, it started to bunch up under my mid-foot. I will try to use two-sided tape to hold the insole in place.
The shoes are very light. That is a plus. The unusual form of the sole under the heel works very well. My heels felt great after the run.
These shoes have potential to be good running shoes. For now, I will use them only in perfectly dry weather.

Some of the Best Running Shoes

By

from Seattle, WA

About Me Casual/ Recreational

Pros

  • Breathable
  • Comfortable
  • Cushions Impact
  • Durable
  • Fast
  • Good Traction
  • Great with Jeans
  • Lightweight
  • Pronation Control

Cons

  • Wears Out Quickly

Best Uses

  • Pavement

I love that Skechers is so detail oriented and apparently focused on the anatomical design of the foot, again in greater detail that's innovated into quality products, as opposed to more hype based footwear... I wear this shoe to work and run about five miles a day altogether. I wear SmartWool Ph.D. Running Socks with them and [this shoe is] by far the best pair of footwear I own in terms of overall comfort, quality and positive for my health.

      • Q:

What are the differences between the 3 gobionic shoes? Aslo, which of the 3, if any, has the least amount of padding where the arch of your foot is?
Asked on 3/13/2013 by J from Orange County, CA

        1 answer

        • CUSTOMER CARE

          A:

The Skechers GObionic and GObionic - Prana share the same barefoot-style minimalist zero-drop design. They have the least amount of padding for a true barefoot effect. The Skechers GObionic Ride offers a similar zero-drop shoe but has additional cushioning in the midsole for those runners who want that.

Answered on 3/13/2013 by Tim the Shoe Guy from SKECHERS
      • Q:

I'll be wearing the shoe on a hotel treadmill during my travels. Need to pack light. If I'm not wearing socks, do I remove the insole? Trying to minimize weight and space in luggage
Asked on 3/12/2013 by Zal from Huntington Bch

        1 answer

        • CUSTOMER CARE

          A:

You can use the Skechers GObionic either with or without the insole. I'd recommend taking the insole with you just in case, it doesn't add much to the weight of the shoe overall.

Answered on 3/13/2013 by Tim the Shoe Guy from SKECHERS
      • Q:

which do you recommend for a flat-footed person like me?
        Asked on 2/9/2013 by rob

        1 answer

        • CUSTOMER CARE

          A:

I would recommend taking a look at the Skechers GOrun Ride for your running needs. Unless you are intent on the true barefoot experience, zero-drop feel of the GObionic, I'd say the Ride will offer you a good amount of cushioning and support.

Answered on 2/11/2013 by Tim the Shoe Guy from SKECHERS
      • Q:

Gobionic Will there be a wide width made 2EE maybe 4ee? I have a wide forefoot.
Asked on 11/17/2012 by Slim from Wetumpka Al.

        1 answer

        • CUSTOMER CARE

          A:

It currently does not look like the GObionic is going to be made in a men's wide width. You may want to look at the GOrun that is made in a men's wide.

Answered on 11/19/2012 by Tim the Shoe Guy from SKECHERS
      • Q:

discard last email question. Wish to know the weight of a men's GObonic, size 12. Secondly, how does this fairly light walking shoe holdup on outside surfaces and different weather conditions? tks
        Asked on 11/13/2012 by TONY

        1 answer

        • CUSTOMER CARE

          A:

The Skechers GObionic should weigh about 6.3 oz. per shoe in a size 12. The shoe has advanced materials in the midsole to help protect the foot in all directions. If weather conditions are a concern, there is an All Weather version of the Skechers GObionic coming soon that has our GOdri design.

Answered on 11/14/2012 by Tim the Shoe Guy from SKECHERS
      • Q:

What is the actual weight of the shoe and will the shoe hold up on outdoor surfaces?
        Asked on 11/13/2012 by TONY

        1 answer

        • CUSTOMER CARE

          A:

The Skechers GObionic shoe weighs 6 oz. per shoe in a men's size 9, and just a few tenths of an ounce more in larger sizes. It's extremely light weight. The shoe has been designed to hold up to outdoor running while still being a true barefoot-running shoe.

      • Q:

I am a public school teacher so I am on my feet day moving around the classroom (concrete/tile/etc.), so I will not be using them for running. I guess it could be considered walking, maybe. I was debating between the new Gorun Ride and new GoBionic. I cannot figure out which style will be better suited for how I am wearing them. Cushioning is important plus I like the minimalist factor. Any input?
        Asked on 10/28/2012 by Colin

        1 answer

        • CUSTOMER CARE

          A:

If you are looking to stand for a long amount of time in your shoes, I'd recommend a GOrun Ride or GOwalk over the GObionic - the GObionic is a true zero-drop shoe ideal for running, while the GOrun Ride has a bit more cushioning while still feeling minimal. The GOwalk is also very comfortable and well cushioned.

Answered on 10/29/2012 by Tim the Shoe Guy from SKECHERS
      • Q:

What do you mean by 4mm drop?
Asked on 10/25/2012 by ramjet from watford city, ND

        1 answer

        • CUSTOMER CARE

          A:

Drop height refers to the difference between the heel height and the midsole height. The GOrun and GOrun Ride have a very low 4mm drop height, which makes for a more barefoot feel when you run. The GObionic has zero drop height, meaning the heel and the midsole are the same height, so it gives a true barefoot feel when you run in them.

Answered on 10/25/2012 by Tim the Shoe Guy from SKECHERS
      • Q:

How many kilometers can I run before I need to replace them?
Asked on 8/29/2012 by Dutch runner from Amsterdam, NL

        1 answer

        • CUSTOMER CARE

          A:

That depends on many other factors such as weight, your stride, the surface you're running on, etc. The GObionic should last a good amount of time given average wear.

Answered on 8/29/2012 by Tim the Shoe Guy from SKECHERS
      • Q:

what is the difference between the goRun & the goBionic.
Asked on 8/10/2012 by walker37 from nassau county

        1 answer

        • CUSTOMER CARE

          A:

The GOrun is a midfoot striking shoe with a 4mm drop, so it gives a cushioned minimal feel. The GObionic is a true zero-drop shoe for a more responsive barefoot running feel. They're both very good shoes, and the GOrun Ride is similar to the GOrun but has a little bit more cushioning in the midsole.
