One of the best Skechers shoes I've ever bought. I have been wearing Skechers shoes for close to 15 years, and these are probably the best feeling and fit. These are super light, and very comfortable.

I use my Skechers for work. I have for the last 7 years. I keep an eye on the new designs and options. I can only wear all black or white for my job so the colors are out. I do have a couple for around the house though. My only complaint is not enough selection comes in a wide width. I'd be more comfortable in all your shoes if they came in a wide width. The only thing that saves me is the fabric in the shoes. Please consider before I have to change shoe companies. Thank you.

          • Skechers GObionic Fuel

            Q:

Hello, I bought one of these but only come with one insole and one pair of laces, is this the correct?

              A:

The Skechers GObionic Fuel should come with one insole for each shoe, and I believe it should also have two pair of laces. If you only have one insole total (rather than one pair) and one set of laces, you may want to exchange these.

          • Skechers GObionic Fuel

            Q:

What is the stack height of the Go Bionic Fuel WITHOUT the insole?

I know the Go Bionic Fuel weigh's 8.3 ounces WITH the insole, but how much does the shoe weigh WITHOUT THE INSOLE?

I've ran about 30 miles so far in the Go Bionic Fuel running WITHOUT the insole and have loved it so far. The ground feel is absolutely spot on and the rubber seems to be holding up decently well with very little wear. Love these shoes!

              A:

The measurements given for the GObionic Fuel should be correct measurements without the optional second insole. The insole adds 4mm to the heel drop (from zero) and about .5 oz to the weight, I believe.

            Q:

The original GoBionic has a seam under the insole right where my foot strikes. That causes me all kinds of problems with blisters. Does the updated GoBionic get rid of this seam?

How great is the lateral support for this shoe? I'm looking for a shoe with strong lateral support for doing Insanity and P90X type of workouts.

              A:

The barefoot-effect feel of the Skechers GObionic Fuel shoe gives a more natural feeling for running or training - they aren't necessarily a stability runner or stability fitness shoe, but they should help enhance your natural balance and movement. There is a Skechers GOfit trainer coming soon that is specifically designed for lateral support and stability.

I have been wearing your GoBionics line since the beginning and I have been able to give up my custom orthotics and embraced the anatomical flexibility that this style provides (thank you for making them!) My question is which of the gobionic line would have the most cushion yet retain the flex? I'm standing for longer periods of time now and need a little extra comfort. thanks!

              A:

The Skechers GObionic Fuel is what I'd recommend - they have all of the flexible and anatomical advantages of the Skechers GObionic but add some extra cushioning to the midsole for added comfort and shock absorption.

            Q:

I would like to know if the gobionic fuel shoe would be suitable for a 5-15K street runner who has a recurring knee ligament injury due to not wearing the proper shoes or not ? and what are the other alternatives @ skechers ?

              A:

The Skechers GObionic Fuel is a more well-cushioned version of the Skechers GObionic barefoot-style running shoe, many runners are promoting the barefoot type of running to help alleviate knee and leg issues, and the GObionic Fuel is a good way to try the barefoot running design while still having a good amount of cushioning. For a more traditional running experience I can also recommend the Skechers GOrun Ride 3, or the Skechers GOrun Ultra for even more arch support and cushioning.

          • Q:

I had many pairs of Sketchers Shape Ups and Tone Ups. Your recommendation was to try GoWalk 2 as a replacement. I experienced tremendous relief for Plantar Fasciitis with the Shape Ups. Reading the description, would the Go Bionic Fuel provide the high instep/arch like the Shape Ups? The phrase "striking in the mid-foot" was what caught my eye.

              A:

While the midfoot strike feature of the Skechers GObionic shoes provides good arch support, these shoes may prove to be not well cushioned enough for your needs - I would still recommend the Skechers GOwalk 2, which also feature the M-Strike design that promotes a midfoot strike when you walk in them.

            Q:

What are the differences between the Fuel and the GRR3? It looks like the heel and forefoot cushioning are about the same. Is the Fuel more flexible?

              A:

The Skechers GObionic Fuel is a more cushioned version of the barefoot-effect Skechers GObionic running shoe design. It features a supremely flexible anatomically designed sole that gives optimal ground feel for a natural run. The Skechers GOrun Ride 3 is a somewhat different type of running shoe - it is nicely flexible and well cushioned, but it's not a barefoot-effect shoe.

            Q:

What are the differences between the GoBionic Fuel and the GoRun3 (which I currently use and really like)? Just the heel drop? Are the cushioning levels the same?

              A:

The main feature of the Skechers GObionic line is the anatomically inspired flexible design, which sets it apart from the Skechers GOrun 3 - there are similar levels of cushioning, but the Skechers GObionic Fuel should have a super flexible ground-sensing feel that a lot of runners really seem to enjoy.

            Q:

            1. What are the bottom measurements in the Bionic Fuel- heel, midfoot, forefoot?
            2. Does the shoe have the midfoot "bump" like the GoRun 2, GoBionic Ride, etc. ?
Asked on 3/8/2014 by Miki from Israel

            1 answer

            • Staff Reviewer

              A:

The Skechers GObionic Fuel has a 16.5mm midsole thickness in the heel and 12.5mm in the forefoot. There is a 17mm build in the midfoot, so there is a slight midfoot 'bump', but not as much as in the Skechers GOrun 2 or GOrun 3.
