DO you know when this shoe size 10.5 will be in stock?
Asked on 5/8/2015 by Cody from Florida

                A:

It does not appear that this specific model is coming back into stock at this time. I would recommend the very similar looking Kino - Fortino or Hanzer - Elano dress shoe models, both are currently available in size 10.5 black.

Is this made of real leather?
Asked on 10/3/2013 by Rojo Don Poho from Albany, NY

              • CUSTOMER CARE

                A:

Yes, the Scanner - Examiner has a leather upper. It has a veneer finish which means it will stay looking good longer without the need for colored polish. Some customers have found that using excessive amounts of colored polish can cause the veneer finish to crack, so we don't recommend using colored polish on these.

              Q:

What is the difference between this shoes and the equable verns shoes?
Asked on 4/29/2013 by casual user from United States

              1 answer

              • CUSTOMER CARE

                A:

The Scanner - Examiner and Equable - Verns are similar slip on dress shoe designs, the Verns has a bit more of a squared toe while the Examiner has a more rounded toe. The stitching details on the toes are somewhat different. I'd say the Verns is a bit more of a dressier look. And also the Verns is in stock on skechers.com, while the Examiner is sold out.

                A:

Not really - the rubber outsole has good traction, but it's not a non-slip or oil resistant design. You may want to check out the Work and Industrial shoe category for non-slip shoes.

No, the Scanner-Examiner is more of a dress casual shoe, it's not a work shoe. Look in the Work and Industrial category to find a full selection of steel toe and safety toe shoes and boots.

From what I can tell, the Examiner should be airport friendly. It does not appear to have any metal content on the shoe, and there is no metal shank. I didn't check them with a metal detector though.
