I just bought my 3rd pair of this exact model of shoe.

I'm not so fond of the new "Memory Foam". Makes them seem a little bloated and reduces feeling through the shoe into my feet. Comfortable though.

I like these particular shoes because they are not so obviously sporty as other similar shoes. The soles blend in with the color of the shoes, unlike some newer Skeechers which either have a light colored sole or a dark colored sole contrasting with uppers.

I have not been able to find another brand that has a look that stands out and goes with everything stylish. In addition these shoes are still viable for work where I'm on my feet all night and walk up to 10 miles a shift

    Comments about Citywalk - Malton:

Sandals are my shoe of preference on my days off, however, when I'm engaged in activities in need of more support, these shoes are my preference, because they are lightweight, airy, comfortable and stylish. I mainly use them when I take my walks.

          Q:

I love the amount of room in the toe box of my old Sketchers which look similar to these. The size I have is listed only as 9.5. Does that mean they are the standard Medium width or might I have gotten Wides and it's simply not listed?
Asked on 12/26/2016 by Bay Boy from San Diego

            A:

It's possible you may have a wide rather than a medium - if you can still see the label inside the shoe, look for a five digit style number, and if it's a wide, you'll see 'EW' after the style number. If you normally wear a wide width, I'd recommend looking at the Skechers shoes available in a men's Wide Fit, which is the 2E/3E width.

          Q:

I have owned 3 pairs of citywalks and love them; they protect my feet but don't interfere too much with ground feel, and don't crunch me in the toebox (I spent a lot of time barefoot when I was younger and my feet are shaped kinda like scuba fins.) When will you carry them in wide widths again? I need to stock up on 7.5 wides; I'll buy at least one pair of each color available in that size... (And/or other urbantrack styles -- I figure they're built on the same 'last'. :)

          • Staff Reviewer

            A:

You're right that the Citywalk and Urbantrack are essentially the same design. While I don't see any wide widths coming in this particular Malton model, there should be more Citywalk shoes coming soon in medium and wide widths. I also can recommend the Diameter shoes, which are based off the Citywalk design, and have that same feel. There are some Diameter shoes currently available in a wide width, like the Diameter - Murilo.

Can I purchase replacement memory foam?

            A:

Currently Skechers does not sell replacement insoles. Many customers advise that a good store-bought comfort insole can work in these shoes.

Does the memory foam go all the way to the toes or is just on the heel of the shoe?

            A:

It is probable that the insole goes to the toes in this model.

The Citywalk is a lightweight casual shoe, it should weigh about 8 to 12 oz. per shoe depending on size.
