I use these for work, and casual wear. These are by far my favorite shoes in my closet (I have at least 25 pair right now). I have never had a shoe feel comfortable enough to walk 5 miles, right out of the box, until these shoes!! I typically wear a size 9 - 9.5 in women's ; I ordered a size 8 in these, and they fit perfectly. Plenty of grip, plenty of cushion, everything is perfect!! I've owned them for approximately 3 weeks, wear them at least 5 days/week, and have zero complaints.

I wear these to work in an office environment - so the shoes don't live a hard life. They have held up wonderfully since new - except they squeak. Started out on the left shoe, but over time - both of them. I can't identify where its coming from on the shoe, but everyone here can identify me coming or going by the squeak. Unfortunate - the soul of the shoe has lasted for a long time - but it's now made me the but of jokes. "Are those Sketchers, or Squeakers?" First pair of Skueakers, and I guess my last as well.

I wear these shoes 5 days a week 10 hrs a day and I am on my feet all day. I plan to by a few more pairs exactly like them in the near future just to have on hand for when I wear these out. I have had these for 5 months now and they are still going strong.

What is the estimted mileage out of these shoes? I have worn them 5 days a week for 6 months and the last three the left shoe squeaks. Can i send them to sketchers for adiscount on a new pair?

                A:

Durability depends on several factors of use. If you are experiencing a squeak you may want to try sprinkling a little talcum powder or baby powder inside the shoe to help quiet the squeak.

That is an older design shoe, but it very similar to this newer model Citywalk - Malton shoe, which comes in a black size 14 Wide Fit. The main difference is that the newer model has a more comfortable insole design.

              Q:

I love the amount of room in the toe box of my old Sketchers which look similar to these. The size I have is listed only as 9.5. Does that mean they are the standard Medium width or might I have gotten Wides and it's simply not listed?

                A:

It's possible you may have a wide rather than a medium - if you can still see the label inside the shoe, look for a five digit style number, and if it's a wide, you'll see 'EW' after the style number. If you normally wear a wide width, I'd recommend looking at the Skechers shoes available in a men's Wide Fit, which is the 2E/3E width.

              Q:

I have owned 3 pairs of citywalks and love them; they protect my feet but don't interfere too much with ground feel, and don't crunch me in the toebox (I spent a lot of time barefoot when I was younger and my feet are shaped kinda like scuba fins.) When will you carry them in wide widths again? I need to stock up on 7.5 wides; I'll buy at least one pair of each color available in that size... (And/or other urbantrack styles -- I figure they're built on the same 'last'. :)

                A:

You're right that the Citywalk and Urbantrack are essentially the same design. While I don't see any wide widths coming in this particular Malton model, there should be more Citywalk shoes coming soon in medium and wide widths. I also can recommend the Diameter shoes, which are based off the Citywalk design, and have that same feel. There are some Diameter shoes currently available in a wide width, like the Diameter - Murilo.

Currently Skechers does not sell replacement insoles. Many customers advise that a good store-bought comfort insole can work in these shoes.

It is probable that the insole goes to the toes in this model.

The Citywalk is a lightweight casual shoe, it should weigh about 8 to 12 oz. per shoe depending on size.
