Lanson - Elaven
Most of the shoe companies are guilty of this. They take a nice pair of uppers and put a cheap white sole on it and you can never make the sole look like anything that looks good if you polish them. Why don't they match the sole with the color of the shoe. If you buy a white shoe, put on a white sole, if you buy a brown shoe, have a brown sole..
I agree with you on this one - though I have found that a lot of the 'white midsole' looks actually start to tone down and look pretty decent once you wear them a bit. Getting the midsole a little worn-looking makes them look much better then when they're new. These models have a pretty low-slung midsole, so the contrast shouldn't be too bad.
