Snow boots can be quite expensive, depending on the brand. And really cheap ones will either leak or crack or break. These were relatively inexpensive and, since we don't live in Alaska, I figured they'd do. They're all black and unobtrusive so they look pretty nice. Well, we just got 10 inches of snow and I wore them to go out shoveling. When I came back inside, my feet were almost warm, and my socks were dry, even though these boots are guaranteed to keep your feet dry only up to the stitching around the bottom. So they performed beyond expectations. My only problem is that I have arthritic toes and the boots are a little stiff, like most boots, so walking a long distance in them becomes painful. But I'm glad I bought 'em.

The best thing about all the Skechers I own is that every style fits when I order my size. They are more consistent in their fit than any other brand.

Insulation could be of better quality.
Should have more lace eyes, and better design.
Worth the sale price, not original list price.

I bought these for an upcoming motorcycle trip where I'll be at high altitudes which means temps in the 20's. I've worn them 3 times so far in the rain and high 30's and my feet didn't get wet at all and stayed warm and toasty. Also when I got off the bike they weren't super heavy like most motorcycle boots and are very comfortable to walk in.

          Q:

Hello i wad wondering how the width is on this boot? I sae the questions saying if you wear a 1/2 size that going up to the next size is recommended so by that logic would the width of the toe box not be as snug?
Asked on 11/13/2017 by Austin from Vienna, WV

          1 answer

          • Staff Reviewer

            A:

The toe box is sculpted rubber, so it's usually good to have a bit of toe room for comfort in these. Usually these are worn with a heaver sock, so it's often a good idea to get a roomier size.

I don't see larger sizes or a wide width option in this particular boot. You may want to take a look a the men's 64869 Relment - Pelmo boot, which comes in a 15 and 16 size as well as a 4E width option, and is also waterproof.

That should be just above the standard 6 inch shaft, about 6.5 inches.

          Q:

I'd like to know if the sole of the shoe is honeycomb (hollowed out) where with wear the inner structural solid part will show or solid rubber that just wears down. For example, I have the go walk (awesome shoe) with a solid rubber sole that just wears down and needs no resoling. Is this boot like that?

            A:

The Alamar boot should have a solid structured outsole and midsole design, and does not have any hollow parts of the midsole or outsole that I know of.

I'd go up to the size 12 in the Terence boot. These boots go well with thick socks, so that should help with the fit.

This may be a stupid question but I normally wear 10-1/2 in your shoes. Should I size up in these boots or are they going to be huge on me?

            A:

If you normally wear a size 10 1/2 I would recommend going with size 11 in the Revine boot. The plush lining will help the boot fit correctly, and most people wear these with a thicker boot sock.

            A:

The entire lower shell of the Terence boot is seam sealed, and the leather upper is water resistant. There is 200g of Thinsulate insulation. It's one of the more technical cold weather boots made by Skechers.
