I loved this shoe. This is by far the best work shoe I've come across. I have very wide feet that swell after a long day, so I bought wide shoes .5 size bigger so that I could put inserts in for arch support. I usually have an issue with arch support no matter the shoe. I work in a kitchen and all over a hospital. I'm on hard floors all day and I need sure footing because I'm constantly lifting heavy things, and pushing/pulling carts. I've always felt steady on my feet while working in these shoes. They lasted almost an entire year before the side seam busted out of my right shoe. Others who have tried this shoe said that's where theirs finally tore apart too. I've gone through lots of shoes, and these have been the most comfortable and lasted the longest by far.

I stand on my feet for 7 hours a day. I need to have the comfort. I buy 4 pair per year and the other two pair were worn out. I wore the new shoes and my feet are aching daily. They feel like they were made differently.
I will still come back to sketcher. I have to have slip resistant and we cannot have the new kind. Hopefully more choices in the future. I actually wear 10 1/2 but you dont have that in 10 1/2 so I do 11 wide.

How do I know if the pair I am wearing is a regular width or wide? Would like to order same width.

                    A:

Check the tag inside the shoe, it should have the style number, which is 76033. If you see just the regular style number 76033 you have a medium width. If you see a style number with a width suffix such as 76033EW you have the Wide Fit version.

The company used EW or Extra Wide to denote wide width on women's shoes prior to a few years ago. The wide fit or EW width was a D width then, and is still a D width now in the Wide Fit shoe. This shoe was never made in a width wider than a women's D width.

                    A:

The Soft Stride - Softie work shoe is currently available in a women's Wide Fit size 8, which is a women's D width wide. That is the only wide width version in which these shoes have ever been made - on the box they will have the Wide Width style number 76033EW, but that is not Extra Wide, it is the Wide Fit D width version.

I would recommend style 77200 Dighton - Bricelyn as a good replacement in white. These have a similar sneaker design with enhanced comfort in the insoles. The D'Lites - Marbleton and the Felton - Albie are also good slip resistant work shoes that come in white.

                    A:

The Slip Resistant outsoles on this shoe are made for maximum grip on a smooth surface, even one that is wet or oily. Due to the high surface area of the Slip Resistant sole, they can make some sounds on a dry floor, though this usually goes away with a bit of wear. I'm not sure if there is a slip resistant shoe that is truly quiet if it's going to be effective.

You may want to see if there is a website based in Australia that sells this particular shoe. Currently Skechers.com ships to USA, though many customers based in Australia make use of freight forwarding services to get orders sent to them.
