I needed non-slip work boots, which are difficult to find for women in my shoe size. I found these boots and they were seemingly perfect...non-slip, steel toe, and memory foam for comfort. They weren't heavy on my feet. However, these boots only last for about 2-3 months in a fairly wet work environment. I'm currently on my third pair in an 8 month time period. The sole separates from the bottom of the shoe, which then allows water to seep inside my shoe. The only reason why I continue to try and use this shoe is because I literally cannot find any other women's work boots that fit my needs. I would suggest avoiding these boots unless you can keep them perfectly dry at all times. Otherwise don't expect them to last longer than a couple months.

I would advise you to try something in a casual shoe from the Relaxed Fit collection if available in your Skechers Retail store - they will help you find the appropriate size, and they can also order the boot for you there in the store. If it isn't correct, returns are free, or you can also return to the store.

The sole is not rated as puncture resistant, though it is a good solid rubber outsole that should resist most regular punctures.

                    Q:

On the description it has EH electrical safety design. Is that the same as ESD (electrical static discharge) shoes? I need both steel toe and ESD.

                      A:

No, they are not the same thing. An Electrial Hazard Safe (EH Safe) shoe is insulated and protects against shocks, live wires, and transmission of electricity to the wearer. An ESD shoe actually does conduct electricity, and dissipates static and other charges. They're different constructions. Currently Skechers does not make an ESD work boot, though there is one coming later in the year.

                      A:

The Workshire - Peril weigh about 13 to 18 oz. per boot, lightweight for this type of steel toe boot. If you need a light weight work safety shoe option, though, you can get a lighter safety toe. A shoe like the Sandlot ST, D'Lites SR - Tottle or D'Lites SR - Service has an approve safety toe made from an aluminum alloy, so it's nicely lightweight.

Currently there are some non-steel safety toe shoes available, like the D'Lites SR - Tottle with the composite toe, or the D'Lites SR - Enchant or Service models with aluminum alloy lighter weight safety toes. The Peril is the only women's work boot with a safety toe available now, but there are some lighter weight options in boots coming soon.

Is there any way to order extra memory foam inserts? I bought the steel toed relaxed fit work boot. They are amazing for a person like me that spends 10 hours a day on concrete. Most comfortable boot I have ever gotten. But after 3 months, the memory foam has a couple holes in it by the toes.
