I'm in the restaurant industry and have used Skechers in the past with varying results. I went back to them because of the more contemporary style they produce.
The look of these shoes are great and the non-skid sole are true to form...the comfort factor though...was a joke. Skechers should actually be embarrassed for the poor excuse of an insole for these shoes. It was truly almost paper thin (not trying to sound dramatic or exaggerate)and I had to go buy new "work" insoles from a retailer. The shoes feel great now...with an added expense of $18 extra insoles. Had I known I would be buying a product to make these shoes feel remotely wearable...I wouldn't have bought them. Good Luck.

I purchased this shoe 5 times now. Older models held up better. This shoe is stiff in the beginning on top of the shoe where it creases over your toes. Great no slip grip.

I fix machine tools, with robots. Three phase power, oil and coolant covered sheet metal. Besides being ele compliant, there slip resistant is one of my most desired features. This really works, in the company's I go to, Boeing, Pratt & Whitney, GE, and others. I'm in comfort and safe. If needed I also have the comp toe shoe to use.

Is the slip resistant can manage the hardened snow? Where risks of slipping is very high especially at night.

                      A:

The Slip Resistant outsole design is primarily designed for wearing on smooth hard surfaces, so that is the type of slip resistance that the sole is best used for. It is not specifically a snow or ice type outsole, though these should have good traction on smooth surfaces that are wet. If you are looking for a shoe with good traction in the ice or snow, I'd recommend the Verdict or Revine boots.

                      A:

The Work: Rockland - Systemic is not a shoe that I would recommend for athletic wear of any kind. They are slip resistant casual shoes - great for wearing at a job that requires slip resistant soles. Not great for wearing to the gym or running. For that I would recommend looking in the Athletic Shoes category under Running Shoes.

The Systemic work shoe should fit a 3E width in their wide. They are not a steel or safety toe shoe, though, if you need that. In a wide width safety toe I recommend the Exalt - Forge, Soft Stride - Compo, Soft Stride - Constructor, Sparta SR - Command, and Soft Stride - Dexter. The Dexter is the best seller among these.

If you look at the tag inside the shoe, you should see the style number 76832. If it's the medium width, the number will state 76832, but if it's the wide width, it will say 76832EW.
