First, I will start by saying I have nothing against Skechers. In fact, I LOVE Skechers; I have owned sandals, work shoes (retail flats), sneakers, boots, you name it; I wear them until they are unwearable - which is usually a few years. I currently have a pair of the D'Lites sneakers that I bought several years ago and they now look like they were run over by a train a few times; but they are still so comfortable!
I own a horse farm and need durable waterproof comfortable boots to wear doing chores around the barn and farm so these boots seemed like a no-brainer. I bought the wide width because you definitely do not want to feel like your feet are in a vice while being very active on varying terrain for several hours at a time. One star is because I love the color (I despise pink and so many girl's boots are pink). The other star is because they do seem very rugged, well-made, and waterproof (although I have not fully tested that out yet). They seemed just slightly snug width-wise when I first tried them on, but any new footwear needs some break-in time. After I wore them a few times, they felt worse and worse. Both of my little toes are red and painful and I can barely walk after less than a half hour of wear. I kept looking at the tags to make sure they are a "wide" because they don't remotely feel that way. (Note: I do not have big/fat feet; I'm 5'2", about 100lbs, and wear a size 7 shoe). Since I paid almost $90 for them (I am by no means wealthy), and can't return them since I have worn them a few times in my horse paddock, I am now spraying Lidocaine on my little toes before wearing them; I can get by for about an hour before limping. :(

The boots are awesome. Very comfortable, very light weight and still meets the ANSI and OSHA requirements fit construction. It wouldn't hurt to be a little wider in the width. Besides that, I love them and plan to by another pair next year.

I get about 2years out of your work boots, not bad. Then they start to lose their cushiony soles.
Still a good boot, I'll continue to buy them.
You should sell the work boots in your stores. The size is a questionable fit.

What is the comfort level of these boots during extended periods on a ladder? We will be painting our house and I need comfort, support, and strength in the arches.

The D'Lites work boot should be very comfortable for lots of walking and standing - it has a supportive midsole for use on a ladder, and a lightweight safety toe.

These work boots are waterproof but not insulated. There is a model - the Radford - Ligonier work boot - that is waterproof and insulated with 400g Thinsulate.

                Q:

I am trying to get these shoes for work, but there are certain specifications I have to meet in order to purchase them:

                1. It does say they are ankle-high, but are they a minimum of 6 inches high?

                2. Are the shoes rated at least I-75 for impact and C-75 for compression in accordance with the American National Standard for Personal Protection-Protective Footwear (ANSI) Z41 1991 standard?

                3. Are the shoes puncture-resistant?

                  A:

This is just under 6 inches but should be of proper safety height for most - usually on a women's safety toe boot a proper ankle height is sufficient. The boots are rated for I/75 C/75 according to the newer ASTM F2412-2011 standards, which are equivalent to the older Z41 standards. This model does not feature a puncture resistant internal plate though.

There are four different stores in the metro Manila area, but I don't know if they carry that particular shoe - you may want to try giving the stores a call to see if they have any Skechers Work product.

I there any way you can let me know if you are going to have a specific shoe available again? It is the Work: D'Lites SR - Amasa Alloy Toe - the style # is 77208 BKFS and it is in wide fit also it is the black/fuchsia. Please I am really interested if you can let me know also I am needing a size 11 if that is important at all.

                  A:

Currently it looks like the D'Lites SR - Amasa Alloy Toe work shoe is only going to be made in a Wide Fit version in the gray/blue color. The black/fuchsia color is not currently made in the wide fit, though this could change in the future. It looks like the gray/blue is in stock in that 11 wide, which I would recommend giving a try - most of the time, work boots are not available in a women's size 11 wide for long. Alternatively, the black/fuchsia should be back in stock in a size 11 medium width around late October or so.
