Bought these for my 6yrs old son, he was so happy and continues to get so many compliments everywhere he goes. Good quality, way better looking than the other light up shoes sold at the mall kiosk. I will definitely purchase a black pair for him as well.

Comments about S Lights: Energy Lights - Elate:

I bought this shoe for my son. He absolutely adores this shoe. He loves showing them off to his friends. The only issue he has had has been his peers wanting to "touch" (i.e. turn them on) and not listening to him when he tells them to stop, lol. I bought a half size bigger, so he has them for longer- they look a little big, but when tightened they do the trick. He does not appear to mind the size.

It looks like more of the Energy Lights should be coming into stock around late April and early May, pretty soon. I would recommend clicking on those sizes that are out of stock - you will get a prompt to enter your email, and we will send you an email when those are available.

            A:

These shoes are considered, like most kids' shoes, to have the same size between boys and girls sizing. So she would want to get the size 13 in these.

          Q:

My 4-yr old son wants a pair of these shoes. He wears a size 11 toddlers, what size will he fit in these light up shoes?

          1 answer

          • Staff Reviewer

            A:

A size 11 in the toddler sizes is the same size as the size 11 in the Kids sizing, so you would want to order the 11 in these, which is currently in stock.

        • S Lights: Energy Lights - Elate

          Q:

This might sound irrelevant but, can these be bought/used by a 7 year old girl? My daughter has been wanting a pair of these light up shoes for more than now and I've held off because they've all seemed like poor quality very stuff to walk in and overly priced. I'm so happy skechers finally a brand I trust made them. But why is it only marketed for boys?

          • Staff Reviewer

            A:

While the Energy Lights may be classified as a boys' shoe, they are really more of a unisex shoe, perfectly suitable for girls and in fact we are selling a lot of these to both girls and to women. While there are girls' specific colors coming in these very soon, the neutral white and black Energy Lights are perfectly suitable for girls. You would want to order in the same size for a girl or a boy.

            A:

From what I have heard, the charger cords sometimes don't plug in all the way into the sockets on the shoes the first time - there's a noticeable 'click' when the charger is correctly plugged in all the way, and only if that is done can the shoe charge. The indicator light will blink red when it's charging correctly, if that helps.

          Q:

My son's sneakers came without instructions. From what I'm understanding the sneakers blink while charging and turn to one solid color when they are fully charged. Is there anything else I need to know? How long does it take to fully charge? Can they get over charged and shorten battery life?

          • Staff Reviewer

            A:

From what I have seen on the Energy Lights, it takes around 2 to 3 hours to charge them depending on how much charge they need. You are correct on the charger light - the indicator blinks when it's charging and glows solid when fully charged. I don't think they can get over charged, but it's probably best to disconnect them from the charger when they're fully charged.

            A:

Currently the Energy Lights come in youth and kids' sizes up to a 7, but not a size 7.5. There should be expanded sizes and styles in this type of shoe coming soon, though, including adult sizes.
