Comments about Star Wars: Damager III - Astromech:

I love children's shoes because they over comfort with a very fun sense of style. As an adult, I can fit into most children shoes but these with lights and sounds are not made bigger than a size 3. For me a size 3.5 would have been a better fit but I had to have these R2D2 shoes since I'm a die hard star wars fan and R2 is my favorite character of all time.

My 4 year old son wears these shoes everyday. He loves that they light up, make R2D2 sound and are comfortable. Unfortunately, within a week of wearing the shoes the sound went out and the paint on the top of his right shoe wore off very quickly.

The sound in the shoes stopped working after 2-3 weeks. My son loved these shoes, but was very disappointed and upset when the soind stopped. Definitely not worth the money I paid for them to only work a few weeks.

Comments about Star Wars: Damager III - Astromech:

My son was so excited to get these shoes, while they were expensive he loved them so much we made the purchase. My son likes the look and feel, but the sound quit working very soon after buying.
I called the store where we bought them and they said they could not replace. I am disappointed that the sound only lasted a couple of weeks.

        Q:

Will any of the Star Wars shoes be available in men's & women's sizes?

          A:

There is a collection of Star Wars shoes currently available in men's sizes. These include several of the kids' canvas shoes and some other models only made for men. I've also seen lots of women wearing these same shoes.

        Q:

My grandson loves light up shoes. I prefer sketchers they are better quality shoes. You only carry light up shoes to size 3 he wears a 4. Maybe you can try to make them to fit a larger size than a 3. That would be nice

It's certainly possible - I know that several of the Star Wars shoes are coming in larger sizes very soon.

        Q:

We recently bought a pair of these shoes for my son but the sound is very low, is there a way to turn the sound up or is this just a defect?
Asked on 1/16/2016 by Elizabeth from Louisville, Kentucky

        • Staff Reviewer

          A:

You may want to check the speaker on the tongue of the shoe, it may have some dust or debris in it. There is no sound adjustment, but the sound should be good and loud if everything's working well.

      • Star Wars: Damager III - Astromech

        Q:

Hi, is there a way to mute the sound? I know there's an off button but they still make noise even after I've hit the off button when he sits on the floor.

        • Staff Reviewer

          A:

The sound is only activated when the button on the strap is pressed. If the button gets pressed accidentally, you may want to try putting a little sticker or tape over the button to help it not get activated in error.

How do you change the batteries?

        • Staff Reviewer

          A:

The batteries on the Astromech shoe are inside the midsole of the shoe, if they need to be replaced I would recommend taking the shoe to a shoe repair shop, who should be able to do it without damaging the shoe.
