How secure is the compartment against tampering?

The compartment is highly child-resistant. It's located underneath the thick, cushioned insole, making it inaccessible without intentionally removing the insole first. It is then secured with a screw-tight cover that requires a small screwdriver to open. This multi-step process makes it very difficult for a child to access or remove the AirTag on their own. The screw ensures the compartment remains sealed during intense activity.

Is the AirTag protected from water and dirt?

Yes. The secure compartment shields the AirTag from the impact, moisture, and dirt of daily play. For extra protection, the Apple AirTag itself has an IP67 water-resistance rating, meaning it can handle splashes and puddles. While the shoe is machine washable, we recommend removing the AirTag before washing to best protect the device.

Will AirTag batteries die?

The AirTag is powered by a standard CR2032 coin cell battery designed to last for about a year. Your iPhone will notify you when the battery is running low, so you'll know exactly when it's time for a quick and easy replacement.

Does this work with Android phones?

The Find My Skechers® feature is designed to be used with an Apple AirTag, which relies exclusively on Apple's "Find My" network. Therefore, an Apple device like an iPhone or iPad is required to use this feature.
