I have plantar facitis. It doesnt help im a nurse who is on her feet all day. I have been through many many types of sneakers, custom orthotics, and clogs. By the end of the nightvmy heels hurt so bad i can barely walk to my front door from the car. Alit of my co workers wear the dansko or the extremly expensive versions of the same type and they raved about them. I however did not want to invest $200 for a shoe that made matters worse. So, because i love sketchers anyway i decided to give ur tone ups a try.....yes, the heel slips around. Its supposed to so that ur foot can align properly with the the shoe arch. However, with the first night wearing them and on a full moon (if your a nurse u know what i mean) my heels didnt hurt and i litterally ran all over the place the whole shift. I even noticed how much easier it was to walk which in my other shoes by mid shift im moving slower due to pain. This was not the case. I also dont think i will need my orthodicts in these shoes, another good thing because they are terribly stiff. The cushioning in these shoes are great. The price is much more reasonable and i'm happy with my purchase. Thank u

I wore a pair about a year ago and they were the most wonderful, comfortable shoe. They literally broke down after a year of constant wear. The new ones are painful to wear. They are not giving my feet support. The right side of the right foot is sliding to the right and the left side of the left food is sliding to the left. When I walk, they are coming off the back of my feet. They are the same size as the last ones I ordered. Have my feet changed, or did you change the design or sizing. I wore them for two weeks thinking the fit would improve. I am no longer wearing them. I will have to try another style.

Comments about Work: Tone-ups Clog Slip Resistant:

I purchased this shoe as I'm recovering from a broken heel and foot. Long 9 month recovery. I'm finally able to bear weight on my foot wearing an air cast, which is big and bulky, and I need a shoe to match the height of the boot to prevent back and hip pain. This shoe did the trick. It took awhile since the store didn't have the size I needed. I normally wear an 8 or 8.5. They arrived and were huge. I reordered a full size smaller, size 7. Smaller size was perfect. These shoes have worked well for my purpose. Not fashionable but that's not what I was looking for. They are very comfortable and the height I need.

              Q:

I ordered the size 6 its too big. 5 and 5.5 are out of stock. Should I return them or wait for a smaller size to become available?

                A:

The Tone-ups Clog fits differently from how most people would think - The back of the shoe is not meant to contact your heel at all, there should be a half inch space at least between your heel and the back collar of the shoe. The arch design should feel like it holds your foot in place when you walk. There is also a newer model of this same work clog, 77227 Clog SR, available in additional colors and sizes.

The Tone-ups Clog does come in a size 5, but that size is temporarily sold out. It looks like it should be coming back into stock around mid February or so.

It appears from the pics that this maybe rocker bottom shoe. Is it? I am trying to find a rocker bottom style like the shape ups. Which style would be the closest?

                A:

The clog design is not a rocker bottom design, though it does share similar support and comfort features. For customers seeking similar support and cushioning to the Shape-ups I recommend the Cheriton shoes in Work Slip Resistant, the GOrun Trail or Ultra Road shoes for running, the Skechers GOwalk 4 or GO Step shoes for walking, and the Burst or Empire shoes for casual sneakers.

I normally wear 8 1/2- 8. Ordered online from eBay. Was told to go size smaller. Ordered 7 1/2.They were huge. They fit a coworker who wears a 10. Ordered another pair 6 1/2. Still too large. Maybe they are nock-offs. I'm weary now. Can't find these in a store to try on. What size should I buy?

                A:

The Tone-ups Clog has a different fit than some expect, it's not meant to fit snug at the heel at all, it should be very roomy there and your heel should be about 1/2 inch away from the back of the shoe. You should feel a good comfort fit at the arch, and a roomy toe fit with plenty of space there too. If the size 6 1/2 fit you well in the arch and roomy at the toe, that is the size I would recommend trying. If not, you may want to try a different type of Work shoe, as these may not have the type of fit you would find comfortable. The non-fitted back is different from most shoes, for sure.

THis style matches that of the Danskos I wear. Available men's style? If not, what size in women sizes would match for a men's size 9? Would this work for a men's foot?

There currently is no equivalent men's work clog available. You'd want to try these in a size 11 Wide fit to be the same as a men's size 9 medium.

For several years I have wore a working women's shapeup clog. They have been the best nursing shoe I have found. This clog looks similar. So I'm assuming this is the new and improved version of the old clog that I have counted on. With that said, I have recently bought this clog and I have left work in tears because this clog is making me walk on the outside of my feet. I can not walk in this particular clog. Please help me and bring back the old version. Or please point me in the right direction.

I don't recall that there ever was a Shape-ups Clog, but there was a slip on Work Shape-ups shoe, which is now discontinued. These Tone-ups Clog are a little different as they do not have the curved bottom design. I would recommend taking a look at the new Shape-ups Elon and Maisto models, they are the updated versions of the Work Shape-ups shoes.
