I am a UPS driver and we get a 30% discount on Skechers shoes, so I thought these were a pretty good deal. Initially they felt wider then the normal d width. After a day or so, the left boot has held true to size but the right boot has expanded and feels more like a e width. This is not good in my line of work. Stability means everything. My foot tends to slip and slide around and i don't feel very stable. This is not ideal in my work environment! Not sure just why the right boot feels so much wider than the left boot, but I don't feel very stable wearing these and stability is important in my line of work. I will am searching for another brand of boot to wear. Also, without an insert, these boots are very uncomfortable if you are on your feet throughout the day. Memory foam?

            Q:

I want to use them for work in Europe but before I can I need the CE certificate or at least the testing certificate according to ASTM 2412-11 and 2413-11 as mentioned on the shoes.

            Can you please provide these?
Asked on 1/18/2018 by Eric from Belgium, Antwerp

              A:

It is possible to provide the testing documentation for the ASTM safety tests, you would want to email Customer Service with that request. The boots come with tags that certify the tests were performed and passed, usually that is sufficient for workplace requirements.

I usually wear 1/2 size larger in workboot than tennis shoe. Is this true with your product?

            • Staff Reviewer

              A:

That is usually true, though these are not a safety toe boot, so you may be able to wear the same size you would wear in a casual-style boot.

The Workshire boot includes the Memory Foam insole, so that provides some very good arch support and cushioning.

              A:

The Workshire - Condor boot does not have a steel shank. It does have metal eyelets, so that may affect its ability to pass through a more sensitive metal detector.

The Relaxed Fit design of these Work boots mean that they should fit men's D widths as well as E widths. If you prefer a slightly wider fit, I would recommend these.

              A:

The leather upper of the Condor boot is not waterproof as it comes, but can be waterproofed with a leather-specific treatment spray. It is not insulated. The Vostok and Energy - Clan models are similar looks, and are waterproof.

I work in a kitchen are the soles slip proof on water and oil?

            1 answer

            • Staff Reviewer

              A:

This particular Workshire boot does not have a slip resistant traction outsole like you would need for working in a kitchen. They have more of a 'Traction Control' design. It is water and oil resistant, but not what I'd recommend for kitchen wear. If you like the boot look, I'd recommend the Cottonwood SR or On Site SR boots, both of which do have slip resistant soles.
