The Skechers Basketball family just got bigger—and a lot stronger. We are thrilled to announce that Isaiah Hartenstein, center for the Oklahoma City Thunder and winner of the 2025 NBA Finals, has officially joined the Skechers roster.
Known for his incredible versatility, high basketball IQ, and ability to command the paint, the seven-foot German-American powerhouse is the perfect embodiment of our "Comfort That Performs" philosophy.
The Shoe of a Champion: SKX NEXUS™
To compete at the championship level, Hartenstein requires footwear that can handle the physical demands of the center position while allowing for the agility of a playmaker. That is why he has chosen to lace up the SKX NEXUS™.
This innovative court shoe is engineered for the modern athlete who refuses to sacrifice stability for speed.
Why Hartenstein Wears the SKX NEXUS™:
- Pro-Level Stability: Designed to lock the foot in place during high-intensity pivots and rebounds.
- Explosive Speed: Lightweight construction allows for quick transitions up and down the court.
- Reliable Support: Critical structural support needed for a 7-foot frame battling in the post.
"Skechers Basketball shoes deliver the superior comfort and performance I need," said Isaiah Hartenstein. "I look forward to showing fans from OKC to back home in Germany how they’re giving me more confidence on the court."
A Journey of Determination
Isaiah Hartenstein’s path to becoming a 2025 NBA Champion is a story of constant evolution and grit. Born in Eugene, Oregon, his journey took him to Germany during his childhood, where he honed his skills in youth leagues and eventually turned professional in 2015.
After playing for top European teams like the Artland Dragons and Žalgiris Kaunas, Hartenstein brought his talents to the NBA. His career has seen him evolve into a pivotal player through stops in Houston, Denver, Cleveland, Los Angeles, and New York, before becoming an impact force for Oklahoma City during their championship run.
"Through his career, Hartenstein has evolved into a pivotal player and an essential part of a championship team’s success," said Ben Stewart, Vice President of Skechers Technical Performance Division. "That focus and determination is key to our mantra to deliver the best basketball shoes to every level of player."

Hartenstein isn't just joining a brand; he is joining a team of elites. He stands alongside a powerhouse roster of Skechers Basketball athletes, including:
- NBA Stars: Joel Embiid, OG Anunoby, Julius Randle, Norman Powell, Terance Mann, Jabari Walker, and Josh Green.
